Verbal Ability is the biggest section by question count — 20 questions in 20 minutes. It tests everyday professional English: grammar rules, vocabulary in context, sentence structure and comprehension. The difficulty is the lowest in the paper, which means the cutoff here is effectively the highest — careless mistakes are what sink candidates.

Beyond this section, the paper has two more scored English sections: English Grammar (5 questions, 10 minutes) and a typed English Writing email/essay task (10 minutes). The same grammar rules you drill here cover the grammar block; for the writing task, practice a clean 5-sentence structure — greeting → context → main point → action requested → sign-off. Grammar errors cost more than simple vocabulary.
